The RH Guesthouse Restaurant will feature an open kitchen concept with a live-fire wood hearth as the focal point. Rotisserie Chicken will be a signature item on our menu. We’re looking for Overnight receivers with experience who have great energy and a team-player attitude.
TheOvernight Receiver will fuel kitchen operations through their daily receiving of product and ingredients from our many vendors. The Receiver is essential to upholding our Quality Value not only through accurate order verification, but ensuring every item that enters our space meets our quality standards and expectations. Organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and rapidly change one’s focus from the big picture to the granular is critical. The receiver will play a vital role in providing world-class customer service to our guests while taking great care of our equipment and facilities.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Live Our Vision, Values and Beliefs every day
- Maintain all kitchen cooking and service standards
- Grow knowledge of all RH food and beverage offerings
- Lead product check-in and rotation to ensure all recipes and orders can be executed at the highest possible standards of accuracy in a timely manner
- Own communication between delivery drivers and kitchen leadership, focusing on bringing Our Values into every interaction with every vendor
- Understand the details of every ingredient and what makes it great so only the highest quality products enter our space and, ultimately, served to our guests
- Integrate seamlessly with the kitchen team to assist in service between receiving orders
- Consistently uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Assume ownership of accurate receiving temperature logs per NYC DOHMH standards
- Participate actively in teamwork and foster harmonious working climate
- Embrace change and deliver top results no matter the obstacle
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of relative experience in the Hospitality industry
- Energetic, accountable and team-oriented
- Maintain proper food certifications specific to State laws
- Knife skills and general kitchen knowledge
- Ability to work independently and with all levels of leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Track record of taking ownership and going beyond responsibilities to ensure the success of the team
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
