Job SummaryThe Bartender is responsible for making, mixing, and pouring alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to the guests of the bar and restaurant.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests, present menu, answer questions, and make recommendations to guests asnecessary.
- Inform guests about new beverages and specials.
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
- Take guest drink (and sometimes food) orders from guests seated at the bar from servers andinput orders into the POS system.
- Must have great knowledge of the food menu.
- Prepare guests drinks as ordered.
- Prepare garnishments for drinks.
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Maintain a clean work and bar are by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses,utensils, and equipment as needed.
- Prepare bill and accept payment or refer guest to the appropriate team member.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returningcorrect change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Always present a clean and professional appearance.
- Interact in a courteous and professional manner with guests, supervisors, and team members.
- Any other tasks as assigned.
