The Parlour Room is currently seeking experienced hospitality driven Servers who are skilled at creating memorable guest experiences to join their team.
Located in the heart of Midtown, The Parlour Room provides an elegant dining experience with refined American fare, craft cocktails, and 400+ whiskies. The space is rather sultry with velvet booths, tassel bar lamps, wood-burning fireplace and a 1920s Italian Baroque chandelier. Other furnishings custom-made and designed to embrace the whiskey experience. The ideal server candidate is enthusiastic, a team player, and is a true agent of hospitality.
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience as a Server in a similar environment
- Considerable knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, classic cocktails
- Strong, upbeat, and positive personality
- Passion for food, beverage and hospitality
- Priority for menu knowledge: learn, retain and command it
- Team player: work with others like a rock star while constantly advocating for your guests
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Must have flexible schedule availability and open to work weekends and late nights
- Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in The United States
- Big Plus: Food Service Handler Card and TIPS certification that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
Essential Functions
- Able to lift 30+ lbs.
- Polished personal presentation: Grooming meets company standards, as outlined by the Service Manual.
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business.
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to perform essential job functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Arrive on time and “floor-ready” for all scheduled shifts. Arrive at work following dress code guidelines and standards.
- Clock in and out for each scheduled shift. Exhibit accurate and effective use of time and attendance portals and procedures.
- Abide by all Fox Lifestyle Hospitality Group (FLHG) policies and guidelines.

In addition to our extensive whiskey collection, our full beverage program is a homage to literary legends like Edgar Allan Poe, J.D. Salinger, Oscar Wilde, F. Scott Fitzgerald to name a few. At The Parlour Room, each cocktail is influenced by these literary titans and directly tied into their history and work. Our signature American Whiskey cocktail "The Raven" is a spirit forward theatrical drink inspired by Allan Poe's masterpiece and an homage to the poet, who was a lover of whiskey.
