Boka Restaurant Group and Executive Chef Chris Pandel are looking for an Events Sales Manager to join the team of Swift & Sons Steakhouse, located in Chicago’s famed Fulton Market District!
Compensation: ***40K Base + Commission - Projected Commision is 32-35K***
Position Overview: The Event Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing all private dining and event operations at Swift & Sons Steakhouse. This person will manage an Event Sales Coordinator and serve as the primary liaison between clients, the kitchen team, and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless event experiences. The role requires a motivated, service-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality, exceptional organizational skills, and a knack for exceeding sales goals.

About Swift & Sons Steakhouse: At Swift & Sons, guests feel the pull of tradition but also the electricity of invention. Key Responsibilities:
- Actively market and sell private event spaces to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Manage client inquiries, conduct site visits, create proposals and BEOs, and negotiate contracts, ensuring that each event is personalized to meet the client’s vision and expectations.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, offering high-touch service throughout the planning and event execution stages.
- Collaborate with the kitchen, front-of-house staff, and Event Sales Coordinator to ensure every detail is executed to the highest standard.
- Serve as the point of contact between clients and the kitchen and front-of-house teams, communicating specific event needs and expectations clearly and effectively.
- Oversee events, ensuring smooth operations and a memorable guest experience.
- Manage and mentor the Event Sales Coordinator, guiding them in day-to-day responsibilities, client interactions, and logistical planning.
- Oversee all aspects of event planning, from initial client interaction through post-event follow-up.
- Ensure all event details align with Swift & Sons’ high standards, coordinating timelines, menus, and setup to meet client expectations and brand guidelines.
- Track sales, analyzing performance and reporting on key metrics to identify growth opportunities.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities and generate sales leads
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event sales, hospitality sales, or a similar role, preferably within upscale restaurants or event venues.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed for on-site event management.
- Knowledge of the event platform, Tripleseat, and/or OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in an office setting
- Experience in hospitality preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Physical Requirements:
- Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces
- Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environment

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($72,000.00 - $75,000.00)
