Upscale French Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Host. In this position, you will greet and seat customers as they arrive, along with taking reservations. Our ideal applicant has hospitality and food service experience and works well in a team environment.
Location:
Primary responsibilities:
- Open door for guests arriving and departing
- Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
- Guide guests to their table and accommodate specific seating requests to the best of your ability
- Provide customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
- Accommodate any other special needs or requests of guests
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Make reservations when guests call or make requests in-person
- Manage restaurant waiting list during peak times to accurately set guest expectations
Skills and qualifications:
- Must have an upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitude
- Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
Languages: English and French (highly preferred)
Compensation and benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience: $22-$24 per hour
