We are hiring for a driven, ambitious and smart Sommelier.
First and foremost, candidates must have an incredible sense of hospitality, work ethic and be self-starters. Court of Master Sommelier certifications are not required, though candidates must be dedicated to growing their knowledge through discipline, study and educating others. The most appropriate candidate has been under the extended mentorship of a learned wine professional, experience in elevated dining environments and functions gracefully in high pressure environments.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Being trained as and working as a server and proficiently running a section.
Providing helping hands wherever needed during service when not working as a Sommelier (this may include back-serving, glass polishing, pouring by-the-glass wines).
Assisting with the organization, unpacking, and monthly inventory of wine.
Assisting the sommelier team with other department-specific tasks.
Experience in upscale dining is required, as well as classic and contemporary food and wine knowledge. We are professionals seeking the same in our job candicates.
