Chef Daniel Boulud's culinary oasis in the heart of Midtown, Le Pavillon, is looking for an experienced Captain to join the team. We are looking for a dynamic, personable individual who is proactive with a solid service background.
The Captain position works with the management team and all other front-of-house and back-of-house team members. The Captain is responsible for serving guests in a warm, accommodating and professional manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. They are in charge of a specific station and should always be present on the floor making sure that service runs smoothly.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for a specific station
- Be present on the floor to make sure that service runs smoothly
- Serve and clear food in cooperation with the team
- Communicate well with the team in order to provide the correct sequence of service
- Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness
- Engage the guests to create positive dining experiences
- Execute on-going, pre- and post-shift side work
- Open and close the dining room and beverage station as needed
- Be knowledgeable of the dishes on the menu and be prepared to answer any questions from the guest
Ideal Candidates should have the following:
- 2 or more years of fine dining restaurant experience
- Desire and dedication to offer premier fine dining experience
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge
- High volume experience
Position requires:
- Full availability - daytime hours, evening hours and weekends
- Reference check
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($16.00) plus tips
