Polisher (Service Porter)

The Alinea Group is looking for a full-time Polisher (Service Porter) to join our team! The Polisher is an important part of the team, ensuring that all equipment is cleanly, organized and maintained at a high standard for service. This is a full time position, paid hourly, and candidates must be willing to work 40+ hours, 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Stocks, cleans and maintains equipment and tableware for service including dishware, glassware, utensils and interior decor
• Operates dish machine, cleaning tools and other equipment with precision and accuracy 
• Works closely with other front of house staff, including Runners and Servers on any immediate needs throughout service 
• Sets up the dining room for service

Requirements

• 1 or more year experience of dishwashing, porter, or comparable position 
• High attention to detail 
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team 
• Thinks clearly, quickly, and maintains concentration during high pressure situations 

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours 
• Must be able to move, pull or lift at least 35 pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift
