About the Role:
We seek an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in Long Island City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management and specialized expertise in payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment. This role is in-office and requires close collaboration with team members to drive HR initiatives. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is needed to support our diverse workforce effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead an HR team, directly supervising at least two HR professionals
- Manage the entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Administer employee benefits programs and handle inquiries related to benefits
- Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations and implement HR policies and procedures
- Handle employee relations, guiding managers and employees on HR matters
- Develop and implement HR strategies to support the organization’s goals
- Maintain and analyze HR metrics to improve overall HR performance and support decision-making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in HR management, with experience overseeing a team of at least two people
- Specialized expertise in payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and legal compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, in-office environment
