Kanopi, a one-of-a-kind Fine Dining Restaurant and Private Event Venue atop the The Opus, Westchester Hotel featuring Chef Anthony Goncalves's Portuguese Hudson Valley Cuisine, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Captain to join our team.
Our candidate should have/be:
- Minimum 5 years fine dining experience
- Confident in upscale service, and bring with them a deep knowledge of food and beverage, or a strong desire to learn
- Able to work calmly under pressure
- Professional demeanor
- Well-groomed appearance
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Staff Training & Coaching: Training and coaching FOH staff on steps of service and luxury service standards.
- Food & Beverage Service: Knowledge and implementation of classic and modern service techniques including french, wine & table service.
- Quality Control: Ensuring impeccable presentation, hygiene, and service execution throughout the event.
- Guest Interaction & Engagement: Proactively creating a memorable and positive experience for guests.
- Problem-solving on the Floor: Identifying and resolving guest concerns or service issues efficiently and discreetly.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $30.00) plus tips
