4 Star Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to join our growing Sales team.  Our Catering team is proud to bring favorites from Smoke Daddy, Tuco & Blondie, Crosby's Kitchen, Remington's, Frasca, and The Perch to corporate events, intimate at-home parties, weddings, and more.

As Catering Manager, you will be responsible for selling and growing 4 Star Restaurant Group Off Site Catering in collaboration with the larger Events & Catering team. The ideal candidate for this position will bring off-site Catering Management experience to enhance and grow an already successful department.  We are looking for a Manager who is excited to take ownership of our Catering program and bring ideas and experience to identify and execute growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and professional. Your correspondence with clients and vendors is punctual and thorough. You work well both independently and as part of a team. Your impeccable attention to detail carries through from preparing BEO's, to setting up events, to closing out financials. You are motivated equally by making sales and taking the best possible care of your clients.

JOB DETAILS

  • Maintain and build catering sales at multiple venues and concepts across our 4 Star Hospitality brand
  • Respond to inquiries daily, ensuring all inquiries are responded to same-day through TripleSeat booking software
  • Manage event calendar and ensure events are booked to maximum capacity in all rooms and maximum revenue is generated
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate, convention, and wedding clients, planners, and guests
  • Plan and execute new business outreach initiatives to build new clientele
  • Monthly management of budget and proactively ensuring that sales are at or exceeding budget goal
  • Communicate event-specific information to appropriate vendors and internal partners
  • Proper communication with the staffing manager for event needs

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and constantly strive for excellence while supporting the 4 Star Mission Statement of “It’s all about the guests”

Creating event proposals and contracts, fielding calls and inquiries, planning staff, menu, rentals and outside rentals

Diligently keep contracts, BEOS, and payments for all events managed, on time, and organized

Respond to feedback and resolve issues in a way that ensures repeat guest visits and that every guest leaves happy

Create event packets including timelines, floor plans, supplier info, service directions, and event notes to ensure a successful event

Create and follow up on all proposals in a timely manner

Participate in and prepare information for weekly meetings with the operations team

On-site for venue visits, walk-throughs

Desirable qualifications

2+ years of event/food and beverage sales

Experience with Tripleseat catering software

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications

Ability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to manage assignments and deadlines with minimal supervision

Highly organized with attention to detail

Strong sales and business insight

Flexible and adaptive to change
