Looking for a General Manager for a location in Chicago, Illinois.
Job Description: Overseeing the efficient operation of the restaurant: exceptional service, staff training, development and discipline, product development, meeting budgeted revenues and expenses, managing guest compliments and complaints. Spirits knowledge preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional service and product by effectively training, motivating employees. Managing all aspects of the business: scheduling, costing food and beverage items and events, excellent maintenance of front and back of house space, cleanliness. Responsible to meet or exceed budgeted revenues, while in line or under in expenses. Actively search for product and service improvements as well as ways to generate new business. Must be polished, professional, warm, and hospitable.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
3 years of management experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting,
with a minimum 1-year fine dining experience.
Thorough knowledge of excellent service, cost control in F&B, labor control, menu writing, maintenance, and merchandising.
Computer literate.
Proven ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships.
Proven ability to learn and adapt to new things.
Outstanding verbal and multi-tasking skills.
Good knowledge of food, cocktails, wine, and beer.
