We are looking for a passionate and dedicated manager to join the team at Thea! 

Thea is the newest Fort Greene project from Chef Tomer Blechman of Miss Ada, Nili and Theodora. Thea has been open since August 2024. It is a bakery and café that serves as a continuation of the work we are doing at Theodora, centered around warm hospitality, fresh baked bread and pastries, and a creative sandwich program.

Who Are You? 
- You're a committed hospitality professional with some management experience
- You've worked in both café and full service restaurants and understand the value of both spaces in a community
- You love high energy, high volume spaces where the team really pushes to improve day after day
- You're a strong hands on leader who is ready to demonstrate how tasks should be done, and take responsibility for the organization and efficient flow of the space

This role will be the leader of the front of house team, working closely with our Executive Pastry Chef and Savory Chef on a day to day level to ensure a warm and genuine guest experience. The candidate will be supported by the company’s Director of Operations, as well as the two owners, Tomer Blechman and Gerardo Estevez. 

The role will be hands on, with half the time spent working behind the counter during hours of operation. The role will also include scheduling, inventory, organization, ordering, as well as basic HR tasks (hiring, onboarding, employee training and discipline). Some management experience is required, but we are open to training a passionate hospitality professional looking for their next role.

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 7 hours]
• Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily 
• Be comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs, and moving.
