Summary: The Runner position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility of the Food Runner is to facilitate the seamless flow of food from the kitchen to guests, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with chefs and kitchen staff to understand the status of each order.
- Ensure that all items on an order are prepared and plated correctly.
- Collect prepared dishes from the kitchen and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate tables.
- Prioritize hot or time-sensitive items to maintain their temperature and quality.
- Check each dish for accuracy, presentation, and adherence to quality standards before delivering to the customer.
- Verify special requests or dietary restrictions and communicate them to the kitchen staff.
- Work closely with servers to match food orders with the correct tables.
- Support servers when needed, such as refilling water or clearing empty plates.
- Keep the expo area and service stations clean and organized.
- Assist in bussing and resetting tables as needed.
- Maintain open communication channels with the kitchen, servers, and other restaurant staff.
- Relay important information, such as delays or changes in orders, promptly.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner during the food delivery process.
- Address any guest concerns or inquiries related to the food being served.
- Handle multiple orders simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Assist in managing peak dining hours and ensuring timely service.
- Monitor the quality of dishes to uphold the restaurant's standards.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the kitchen or management for resolution.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure an exceptional dining experience by following the Company's standard of service.

Must Haves:
- Previous experience as a Runner or other support staff in a restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and health regulations
- Customer-centric
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a high demand and faced paced work environment.
