KA'TEEN IS HIRING FOR HOST
The Host focus on ensuring the guests have a positive experience as soon as they enter the restaurant. They will exude hospitality through poise, eye contact, friendly and welcoming nature. They will provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions they may have about the property besides ascertaining of guests reservations details. The Host plays a very important role: not only making a lasting impression on our first contact with the guest, but also making critical decisions regarding the volume of the business. They are the gate keepers to our business. They control the flow of service by seating guests according to station rotation, coordinating reservations & walk-ins, and communicating special requests. The Host must exemplify hospitality under pressure, while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Responds to our guest inquiries
- Answers phones
- Keeps accurate count of reservations and manages the reservation book
- Collects and stores menus
- Has complete knowledge of the floor plan, table numbers and stations
- Seats the restaurant in a fair manner, rotating server stations
- Completes room checks and edits the floor management system accordingly
- Immediate awareness when tables are reset and ready with accurate guest counts and table settings
- Guides guests to a set and ready table for service
Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year experience in high-volume restaurant setting
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends
- Must have experience with Resy
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
- May be required to lift trays of food or drinks up to 20 lbs
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks.
- Requires grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
