SUMMARY OF POSITION: PASTRY CHEF DE PARTIE

Little Saint is seeking a Pastry Chef de Partie to join our growing culinary team. Reporting to the Pastry Program Manager, this role is hands-on and central to the success of our pastry program. The Pastry Chef de Partie is responsible for daily production, preparation, and service execution within their assigned station, ensuring every item reflects the quality and creativity of the Little Saint pastry program.

This role requires a balance of technical skill, consistency, and hospitality. While the focus is on back-of-house execution, there will be occasional guest interaction, and every Pastry Chef de Partie is expected to embody genuine warmth and hospitality that reflects our mission and culture.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work cohesively within the assigned section of the kitchen and liaising with the Pastry Program Manager, Culinary Director and Culinary Operations Manager to ensure a successful working environment.
  • Prepare ingredients and handling mise en place, safely utilizing kitchen equipment.
  • Cook and prepare dishes and menu items according to quality standards.
  • Develop new recipes for seasonal menus, as needed.
  • Occasionally interact with customers in a kind, positive and warm manner.
  • Monitor the stock of mise en place, ingredients and inventory.
  • Ensure their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
  • Onboard and train staff members.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2+ years of baking and pastry experience in a fine dining culinary or quality kitchen setting. Pastry program degree preferred.
  • Commitment to service quality, excellence, and sincere hospitality.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to self-manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a timely manner.
  • Proven communication skills.
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, reach with hands and arms.
  • Flexibility with a schedule that includes evenings, holidays and extended hours.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($26.00 - $28.00) plus tips
