Carmel Restaurant, located in the heart of Los Angeles' vibrant Melrose neighborhood, offers a Mediterranean-inspired menu with a focus on seasonal ingredients and creative presentation. We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Floor Manager to join our team.
We are looking for a skilled and charismatic Floor Manager to assist the General Manager in the day to day operations of Carmel. The Floor Manager will oversea all front of house positions including servers, bartenders, hosts & support staff.
- Aids the General Manager in recruiting, assigning roles, onboarding, scheduling, assessing performance, and managing staff transitions.
- Upholds high service standards and ensures daily operations are conducted efficiently and smoothly.
- Anticipating front-of-house food and beverage needs
- Engages with dining room and bar teams to coordinate restaurant activities, plan special events, and communicate essential updates.
- 2+ years of management experience in a fine dining restaurant.
- Understanding Steps of Service
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational, time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
