We are looking for a dedicated Counter Server/Barista who excels in customer service and can help enhance our guest experience through upselling and engaging with customers.
Position Overview:
As a Counter Server/Barista, you will be the face of our bakery, responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, and ensuring their experience is top-notch. You’ll work at the counter, serve tables, assist with simple barista tasks, and, importantly, help promote and upsell our selection of pastries and baked goods. We are looking for someone who can highlight our products’ unique qualities and encourage guests to explore our menu.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet guests, take orders, and provide menu recommendations
• Serve guests both at the counter and at tables, ensuring an excellent dining experience
• Prepare and serve coffee and beverages, working with our simple but high-quality offerings
• Promote and upsell pastries and bakery items, showcasing their uniqueness and encouraging guests to try more
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, dining room, and coffee station
• Assist with restocking inventory and keeping the service area neat and orderly
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bakery team to ensure smooth service
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in customer service, food service, or as a barista is preferred
• Strong communication and upselling skills to help drive sales of pastries and baked goods
• Ability to provide friendly and attentive customer service
• Multitasking skills and an ability to thrive in a busy environment
• Attention to detail in both guest service and beverage preparation
• Flexibility to assist with a variety of tasks as needed
