Job Summary
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing individual stations and his or her commis chef. The Chef de Partie is responsible for maintenance, logistics, food preparation, Prep sheets, Produce/Meat Orders and safety & sanitation. Success in this role will be determined by your ability to support the kitchen’s efficiency and safety without compromising the quality of food production & service

Duties

  • Cook and prepare high quality dishes according to specifications and standards
  • Work with the Commis Chef in managing station setup to Executive Chef’s standards
  • Work his or her station during service
  • Help with deliveries and restocking
  • Assist/Manage with stock rotation
  • Maintain kitchen and food safety standards
  • Understand and assist with training on how to properly use all necessary kitchen equipment
  • Know how to sharpen and use knives properly
  • Have a competent level of spoken and written English
  • Report to the Chef de Cuisine
  • Hold Serv-Safe certification

Experience
- Previous experience in food production and kitchen management
- Proficiency in fine dining, restaurant, or banquet settings
- Strong skills in food preparation and presentation
- Knowledge of inventory control practices
- Experience in kitchen management is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
