About Divino:
Divino is a new Italian restaurant in the Glover Park Hotel, dedicated to bringing the rich culinary traditions and vibrant culture of Northern Italy to Washington, DC. Offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch, our menu emphasizes housemade pasta, wood-fired dishes, and farm-to-table ingredients sourced from local farms and wineries. With a dining room for 100, a 40-seat bar area, and a wine and beer garden seating up to 70, Divino is a welcoming space for all to enjoy.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead our team at Divino. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upscale dining and a passion for Italian cuisine, with the skills to ensure exceptional guest experiences, maintain high service standards, and drive profitability. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and collaborating with our Executive Chef and Beverage Director to create a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, food quality, and guest satisfaction
  • Lead and motivate the team, promoting a positive and professional work environment
  • Manage scheduling, training, and development of front-of-house staff
  • Monitor and manage budgets, costs, and financial performance
  • Implement and maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef and Beverage Director on menu planning and special events
  • Engage with guests, gather feedback, and address concerns to enhance the dining experience
  • Work with marketing to promote special menus, events, and seasonal offerings
  • Foster relationships with local farms, wineries, and vendors

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of restaurant management experience in upscale dining
  • Passion for Italian cuisine and knowledge of Northern Italian dining traditions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in budget management, cost control, and operational efficiency
  • Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software
  • Knowledge of local regulations and health standards
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
