Saraghina Bakery is seeking a Pastry Cook
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing production schedule when the pastry chef is not there
Troubleshooting any potential issues
Proper scaling of ingredients
Maintaining a clean, neat and organized work station
Preparing all menu items; following recipes and yield guides
Cake decorating and assembly
Ability to multitask
Qualifications and Requirements:
Cake decorating experience
Min 2 years experience in a bakery or kitchen environment
Knowledge of Laminated puff pastry
Knowledge of Modern Italian and Classic Italian cakes and tarts as well as French
Knowledge of Italian regional Pastry
High school diploma or equivalent required
Am Availability (early mornings required)
Ability to work holidays and weekends a must
Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers, management and guests
Must be able to stand for periods of up to eight hours
At least 18 years old.
Able to lift and carry 50lbs up and down stairs
Able to work independently
Food Safety Certified a plus

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $25.00)

We opened Saraghina Bakery in 2014 to bring back the ancient tradition of naturally leavened loaves with an “old soul”, using nothing more than flour, water and salt. We work with ancient and whole grains, slow fermentation and make each loaf by hand resulting in breads with a sweet crumb, deep flavor and perfect crust.
