Job Details
We're seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team and support the overall operations of our restaurant as well as develop our wine program. We are seeking someone with knowledge and great passion for Mexican wines to help elevate the Mariscos San Pedro Dining experience. As the Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to maintain and elevate our food, hospitality, and service standards while ensuring the smooth functioning of the establishment. Your role will encompass various responsibilities aimed at enhancing the performance of our staff and delivering exceptional experiences to our guests. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Wine knowledge highly valued 
  • Assist in maintaining and improving food quality, hospitality, and service standards. Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure the efficient and profitable functioning of the restaurant.
  • Aid in the training and development of front-of-house staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to exceed guests' expectations. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and coaching to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Must be fully knowledgeable in all aspects of wine, including food parings and wine procurement.
  • must hold tastings and frequent educational opportunities to develop staffs knowledge of wine
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, payroll management, menu updates, and basic social media updates. Support in POS programming, ordering supplies, and cash handling as necessary.
  • Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the menu. Foster communication and teamwork between front and back of house to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Help oversee daily operations, including controlling inventory, responding to customer complaints, and monitoring staff performance. Assist in setting work schedules and implementing operational procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring process for new team members. Provide training, motivation, and support to enhance staff performance and morale.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and liquor regulations. Monitor staff and guest actions to maintain a safe and compliant environment. Assist in evaluating and improving health and safety practices.
  • Collaborate closely with other onsite managers and employees to ensure smooth guest experiences. Support public and private events, festivals, and other activities to enhance guest satisfaction.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($62,000.00 - $70,000.00)
