Dark Matter Coffee - Barista Opening (Adios Amigos)

Position Overview:
As a Barista at Dark Matter Coffee, you will operate and maintain our retail storefront while embodying our values of exceptional customer service and beverage craftsmanship. You will engage in training and tasks assigned by the Café Manager and Front-of-House Lead.
Compensation:
The starting pay for this position is $16/hr – $18/hr, based on experience, with part-time (20-25 hours) and full-time (30-35 hours) options available.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to lift/move up to 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and be on their feet for 6-8 hours.

Customer Experience
-Ensure exceptional customer service by representing DMC’s core values with customer engagement.
-Comprehension and knowledge retention of current and upcoming products through email releases and flawlessly executing all QC feedback forms and quizzes on time.
-Using materials for guidance, maintain a clean and presentable workplace and service area.
Teamwork
-Full comprehension of proper channels of communication in every scenario
-Exceptional communication with AMs and SMs on current events in store to drive performance
-Engage with new staff members in the barista training program to assist in skills and development
Technical Skills
-Protect and maintain company assets and equipment – communicate all issues to store leadership to resolve issues efficiently.
-Trains and understands DMC equipment function.
-Trains and understands POS and cash handling procedures.
-Trains and understands DMC espresso bar and brewing skills, including handcraft methods
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($16.00 - $18.00)
