Job Details

The Anchovy Bar is seeking experienced and qualified Sous Chef! We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply, who are committed to upholding a strong reputation for excellent guest experience.


**The restaurant is currently undergoing retrofitting and will be reopening late October, however we are actively looking to fill this role**

Job requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Communicating directly and working concurrently with the Chef de Cuisine, Chef/Owners & dining room management

- Responsible for direct management of kitchen team, previous management experience required

- Assisting with ordering, menu writing, inventory and par maintenance

- Managing quality of ingredients, recipes, and dish execution, holding everyone to the highest standards

- Seafood experience is a plus, but not required.

- A passion for food, education, and professional development

- Strong sense of warmth and hospitality

- Interest and pride in learning about food and wine

- Ability to clearly communicate, multitask and remain calm under pressure

- Being a genuine team player - we are only successful if everyone works together

- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and clear communication skills

- Physical stamina: ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Efficient and safe work practices

- Desire for longevity, with a commitment of at least one year
