About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and professional Beverage Director to lead and launch the beverage program for Cuerno in New York. As Beverage Director, you will be responsible for driving creativity, ensuring excellence, and delivering on the brand promise within our bar and beverage program. You'll take on a leadership role, serving as an educator, coach, and mentor to the Bar and Service Teams, instilling Cuerno’s core values. You will collaborate with Senior Leadership to make strategic decisions that influence the financial health of the business while maintaining alignment with our company culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the management team to lead the service staff, ensuring Cuerno delivers a culture of Enlightened Hospitality to both guests and team members.
• Seek opportunities to use the beverage program as a gateway to enhance hospitality and engage with guests.
• Build a culture of excellence by ensuring top-tier standards of service, communication, and ongoing education.
• Use beverage offerings to drive guest engagement, encourage new customers, and build loyalty among existing patrons.
• Continuously look for internal and external opportunities to grow and develop the team.
• Foster a positive, collaborative environment between service and kitchen teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Educate the Service Team on wine, beer, cocktails, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages to enhance guest experiences and meet financial objectives.
• Complete all end-of-period reports, inventories, and forecasts on time and with accuracy.
• Ensure proper execution of all beverage changes, with a focus on communication and education.
• Maintain and update POS systems, inventory, and beverage lists to ensure accuracy in all beverage-related sales.
• Use strategic thinking and exceptional judgment to source the best products at the most advantageous prices.
