Porter

Dish Food & Events, a Long Island City based off-premise catering company is seeking a Porter/Dishwasher to join our team!

• As a porter, you will be responsible for properly cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, and supporting properly cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas.

• You'll also be resposible for dailiy cleaning of the facility, including restrooms, offices etc. 
• Additionally you will assist in general handyman/maintence work around the facility including using tools, building equipment and hanging shelfs.

• Flexibility with schedule requirements is needed. There are opportunities to work morning, evening and weekend shifts.

• Occasional holiday work will be required

• Prior porter or dishwasher experience preferred

• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

• Work well in a team environment

• Willingness to learn from managers and co-workers and constantly improve

• Ability to lift up 50 pounds

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots/pans, and other equipment with proper tools

• Restock all dishes, utensils, pots and pans; place in proper storage areas

• Keep dishes and other areas of kitchen clean and organized

• Clean and sanitize floors, drainers, freezer, cooler, restrooms & office spaces

• Maintain kitchen work areas including all equipment in clean and orderly condition.

• Sort and remove trash, place in designated pickup areas.

• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and policies

• Other reasonably assigned duties as per needs
