Line Cook
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Line Cook to join our team! At Sip & Guzzle we believe successful line cooks are hospitality professionals that contribute greatly to the overall guest experience and culture. In this role we are seeking individuals who are responsible for prepping, cooking, and plating dishes as directed by the Culinary Team. The goal is to produce the highest quality dishes, while maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Sets up all assigned stations with appropriate mise en place in advance of service. Station and kitchen is clean, stocked, and ready for service.
- Prepares menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team, at the direction of the chefs.
- Follows all allergy protocols and modifies dishes at the direction of the chefs. Avoids cross contamination by adhering to preparation standards.
- Labels, stocks, and organizes product on their stations and in the walk-in
- Maintains a neat, orderly, and safe work station while in service.
- Works efficiently with kitchen team members and complies with company procedures and food safety standards.
- Keeps utensils and equipment clean and sanitary at all times.
- Maintains a positive and professional approach with all front of house and back of house coworkers and customers.
- Breaks down stations fully. Reports waste to chefs on duty. Cleans and sanitizes work stations prior to departing the shift.
- Reports to each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work. Assists other stations or areas of the restaurant when requested by management.Is quick, diligent, and willing to improve.
Physical Demands
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds, sitting, standing, for 6 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years proven experience in a line cook position or similar role
- Ability to manage a station from prep to service
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high service standards.
- Full- time availability including weekends
- Punctual, dependable, with a team first attitude

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($23.00 - $25.00)
