This is a unique opportunity to join James Beard award-winner Chef-Owner Tim Cushman’s team of dedicated chefs at o ya, a contemporary Japanese restaurant in Boston’s Leather District.
o ya seeks to hire a self-motivated, humble, professional sous chef who is eager to both learn and contribute ideas. Candidates must be serious about career and food, ego-free, dependable and have a consistent genuinely positive attitude. The team is close-knit and prepared for growth. Refined food preparation and 3+ years of line experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food & labor cost controls are a must, but extensive Japanese food knowledge is not required. Position will be full time, and o ya is open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner service.
