Position Description  

The Host is responsible for initiating the guest’s experience in our restaurant throughout their visit. This is achieved by: 
 

• Greet patrons as they enter our establishment 
• Walk guests to the table and presenting menus 
• Treat guests in a manner to ensure complete satisfaction 
• Manage wait list, reservation requests, and table statuses throughout service 
• Manage, train, coach host team
• Maximize covers
• Maintain seating pace to not overload FOH staff 
• Clean, organize, and stock menus and supplies at host area 
• Answer questions concerning the menu, restaurant, and offerings 
• Interact with guests as they leave the restaurant ensuring a positive dining experience 
• Perform other duties as directed 

Required Experience 

• Experience in a high-volume restaurant (2+ years Manhattan experience preferred) 
• Provide impeccable customer service 
• Responsible and punctual 
• Maintain high-quality standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detail 
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Must work well individually and as a team player 
• Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items (40 pounds or more) for extended periods and open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
