Job Details

We are seeking a CDC/Kitchen manager to run the Arbor kitchen located in the heart of Hayes Valley. Arbor is a neighborhood restaurant that features a variety of fast, casual, and healthful seasonal dishes.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a lead or in a supervisory role. Required skills include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Intimate familiarity w/all stations in the kitchen
  • Knowledge of most styles of cooking
  • Conscious of quality, cost, and seasonal availability
  • Proven menu planning, inventory, kitchen safety and sanitation management
  • Ability to make the RIGHT decisions instantly and consistently that gets the best from every situation
  • Excellent food handling skills/techniques and portion management
  • Reliable and flexible under pressure
  • Ability to train, motivate and effectively counsel staff
  • Consistently respectful and mindful of our objectives for service and quality
  • Excellent communications skills (English speaking w/basic Spanish required)

Estamos buscando un/a Gerente de CDC/Cocina para dirigir la cocina de Arbor, ubicada en el corazón de Hayes Valley. Arbor es un restaurante de barrio que ofrece una variedad de platos rápidos, casuales y saludables de temporada.

Buscamos candidatos con un mínimo de 3 años de experiencia como jefe de cocina o en un rol de supervisión. Las habilidades requeridas incluyen, pero no se limitan a, las siguientes:

  • Conocimiento profundo de todas las estaciones en la cocina
  • Conocimiento de la mayoría de los estilos de cocina
  • Conciencia de la calidad, el costo y la disponibilidad estacional
  • Experiencia comprobada en planificación de menús, inventario, y gestión de seguridad y saneamiento en la cocina
  • Capacidad para tomar decisiones CORRECTAS de manera inmediata y constante, que obtengan lo mejor de cada situación
  • Excelentes habilidades y técnicas de manejo de alimentos y gestión de porciones
  • Confiable y flexible bajo presión
  • Capacidad para entrenar, motivar y aconsejar de manera efectiva al personal
  • Siempre respetuoso/a y consciente de nuestros objetivos de servicio y calidad
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación (se requiere hablar inglés con conocimientos básicos de español)

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $85,000.00)
