Catria Cucina & Bar is an Italian concept brought to you by the Concrete Hospitality Group team.

Located in the Courtyard Marriott New York, Midtown West in Manhattan's trendy Hudson Yards, Catria Cucina & Bar is currently seeking a strong Line Cook to join their team.

Our Line Cooks are responsible for producing the highest quality menu items efficiently and consistently. The Line Cooks take full ownership of the daily preparation and execution of food items at their stations. Line Cooks are expected to follow recipes, procedures, and presentation standards consistently to ensure the best possible product is produced and executed. Line Cooks are team players who assist one another and work with the service team to exceed our guests' expectations and provide them with nothing less than extraordinary dining experiences.

Job Requirements:
    • Ability to execute professional cooking and service standards.
    • Proficient knife handling and sharpening skills.
    • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
    • Basic English language and professional communication skills are required.
    • Attention to detail in completing tasks.
    • Ability to actively listen- giving full attention, understanding, and asking questions as appropriate.
    • Ability to accept feedback and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
    • Ability to take direction and to work in a team environment.
    • Must have problem-solving abilities, time management skills, and be self-motivated.
    • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
    • Ability to perform cutting skills on work surfaces, topped with cutting boards, 3 to 4 feet high.
    • Proper usage and handling of various kitchen machinery including slicers, ovens, stoves, grinders, mixers, and other kitchen-related equipment
    • This position will spend 100% of the time standing, walking and climbing stairs with food items and dishes.
    • Regular environmental exposure to very cold (32 degrees) heat (+90 degrees) and water.
    • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular and continuing basis.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
    • NYC Food Handler's Certificate strongly preferred but not required. Please note that applicants will be expected to obtain their Food Handler's Certificate within the first 30 days of employment.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $22.00)
