Sunny’s Steakhouse is looking for a line cook.
About us: We are a live-fire steakhouse located in the Little River area of Miami. Originally a pop-up in a vacant warehouse, we recently completed a two year renovation and are now open as a permanent brick and mortar restaurant. Our team has experience in some of the best kitchens in the world (l’Astrance ***, per se ***, momofuku ko **, Spiaggia *). We strive to execute at a very high level while maintaining a positive, happy, and fair workplace.
About the job: You will be expected to work diligently, cleanly, and efficiently on your station. You will be expected to be the "chef" of your station, maintaining and keeping track of all your mise en place and understanding your ingredients. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of advanced meat and fish and aging as well as fresh and extruded pasta . We are a growing company with a number of exciting opportunities to advance and build a real career, and taking care of our employees is our highest priority.
This is an hourly position with considerable overtime. We offer a 5 day workweek with paid vacation as well as health and dental insurance.
About you: You should have at least 1-2 years of experience as a line cook in a real kitchen. You must have a strong work ethic and be enthusiastic about learning and growing as a cook. And you should be able to take your craft seriously while being a positive and respectful colleague.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $24.00)

Sunny's will also be pouring classic and house cocktails, in addition to adding two brand new cocktail menus: a pick-your-path martini menu and a zero-proof drinks menu. The design of Sunny’s is a modern interpretation of the white table-clothed steakhouse, with a light-filled 76-seat indoor dining space, private dining room, U-shaped dining bar, and expansive, 3,000 square-foot, Banyan-Tree-canopied patio with outdoor seating.
