Hi-Note is a radio station + bar + cafe located in the heart of Alphabet City. We host community radio, and feature live Dj sets and original programming. Day and night, we serve a delicious range of offerings from coffee, craft cocktails, wine, and beer to a chef-curated selection of small plates.
We’re looking for a Bartender to join Hi-Note and be a part of our team. We’re interested in someone with a deep understanding of and curiosity for cocktails, consistent execution in drinks, and a person with great hospitality to connect with regulars. We are looking for someone who is interested in learning and growing as part of our team, who can embody our “all hands on deck” mentality, and who is interested in community building.
What we’re looking for
- Knowledge of classic (neo classic) cocktail recipes and fundamentals
- Outgoing and looking to connect with guests
- Growth mindset someone to grow with us
- An interest in wine and beer
- Have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience in a fast paced environment
- Aligned with hospitality means being on the customer’s side
- Able to lift 25-50 pounds and can stand for 4-8 hours
- You have or will obtain a Food Protection Certification
- 2+ years experience working in a bar and making cocktails
What you’ll be doing
- Prepare, serve and garnish cocktails
- Server shift
- All hands on deck approach
- Bar prep shift which will include syrups, batching cocktails
- Help customers select a beverage that will delight them
- Serve coffee beverages on occasion
