Job Summary
The Server is responsible for serving food and beverages for our guests in an efficient and courteous manner.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for presenting the menu to guests, answering questions, and making recommendations as necessary.
Responsible for maintaining their tables and respecting steps of service.
Take food and drink orders from guests accurately and with a positive attitude.
Input orders on the POS system and present them to kitchen team members.
Engage with guests in a friendly manner.
Must have knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
Upsell the restaurant’s food and cocktails.
Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Collect payments from tables.
Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
Help food preparation staff when necessary.
Always present a clean and professional appearance.
Interact in a courteous and professional manner with guests, supervisors, and team members.
Any other tasks as assigned.

Experience/Education:

High School diploma preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of restaurant experience as a Server.
Must obtain a food handler’s license.

Physical/ Cognitive Requirements:

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time during the course of shift.
A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with team members.
Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry 25 pounds.

Communication:

Individual must be enthusiastic and concerned with job and company as whole.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Must be flexible and open to work on weekends.
Must be detail oriented.
Maintain effective communication with team members.

Experience:

3 years at a high volume restaurant.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($19.65) plus tips
