We are seeking a hard-working Pastry Cook to join our award-winning team at Aventino and AP Pizza Shop in downtown Bethesda. The pastry team, led by James Beard-nominated Anne Specker, will produce all dessert components for both menus, offering you a great opportunity to grow your skills.
Aventino offers Roman-inspired Italian fare during lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, while AP Pizza Shop serves Italian-American comfort food for the neighborhood. Both restaurants are open seven days a week.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year cooking in a high-level restaurant and be able to work well with others in a positive environment. He or she will:
- work quickly, efficiently, and in an organized fashion,
- be open to feedback and eager to learn,
- communicate effectively, and
- be able to adapt to changing circumstances
This position is full time. We pay well and will pay more for experience. We want our new team member to have a passion for food and restaurants as well as the desire to grow in his or her own career path.
