CHEZ FIFI, an elevated bistro from the acclaimed restaurant group behind Sushi Noz and Noz 17, recently opened on the Upper East Side. Chez Fifi has a downstairs dining room and upstairs cocktail lounge. The menu has a focus on bistro classics and seafood sourced from the world's best markets and purveyors.
Chez Fifi is looking for LINE COOKS to join our culinary team and execute at the highest level. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic candidates to learn and grow with Chez Fifi.
This position reports to the Chez Fifi Executive Chef and Sous Chef. We are offering $21-$25 an hour.
Line Cook responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Preparation and execution of the menu with precision and consistency.
- Development of proficiency throughout the kitchen, including preparation and cleaning of stations, and communicating proactively with the team to facilitate a smooth and efficient kitchen.
- Displaying a working knowledge of all ingredients and preparations used on the menu and participation in a professionally run service.
- Supporting other areas of the kitchen and kitchen team as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space everyday, according to NYCDOH guidelines .
Qualified Line Cooks will have:
- At least 1 year of full-service cooking experience in a comparable restaurant setting
- Passion for cooking and restaurant hospitality
- Detail oriented, productive, and organized nature.
- Friendly personality as part of a cohesive team, lending support to colleagues
- Eagerness to embrace change, and to learn and adapt to new systems and service steps
- Broad and flexible availability to work

This position requires seeing, hearing, speaking, frequent use of hands, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, bending and moving intermittently during working hours.
