We are seeking a Lead Host to join our James Beard award winning team at one of our D.C Michelin starred restaurants: Rose’s Luxury, Little Pearl, and Pineapple and Pearls, and Extra Fancy, our international events company.

Qualifications and skills: 

Our ideal candidate will be hospitality-focused with a background in service. They will be dependable, motivated to learn, committed to working as a team member, possess excellent communication skills, and will be willing and able to provide our guests with authentically warm service each night.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival, creative a welcoming first impression
  • Coordinate communication between hosts, servers, bussers, and management
  • Support the host team, providing guidance, training and motivation to ensure smooth FOH operations
  • Manage reservations and waitlists using phone, online booking systems, or in person inquiries
  • Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and offering initial hospitality
  • Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entrance area
  • Support front-of-house team members, including servers, bussers, and managers, to ensure an exceptional guest experience
  • Monitor dining room activity and table turnover, updating the floor chart in real time
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and guest privacy protocols
  • Lead by example with exceptional customer service and professionalism, acting as a role model for the team

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($25.00) plus tips
