Briny Swine Chicago is a seaside-inspired smokehouse and oyster bar featuring Carolina-style barbeque, seafood and Lowcountry classics, served with a side of sass. It’s a local joint where friends and family gather to laugh and forget about life in the big city while they get in on some Southern hospitality and good eatin'. Rosé, bourbon, cocktails and beer are aplenty...and on a steady flow.

Whether you’re on vacation, passing by after a long day of work or catchin’ the big game, Briny is that place where all are welcome, from all parts, and no one cares about the rest. 

Y’all, leave your worries at the door, take a seat, enjoy fine swine, wine and oysters while listening to the sweet sounds of rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass and honkey tonk.

LEAD BARTENDER + BARTENDER RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for all aspects of a guest’s dining experience while providing exceptional guest service and exceeding expectations.

• Follow steps of service to provide a quality guest dining experience
• Direct support staff as needs to maintain proper flow of service
• Provide proper food and beverage service adhering to restaurant standards
• Ring all food and beverage items with 100% accuracy to ensure proper flow of service
• Properly handle all guest payments with 100% accuracy
• Check identification of guests purchasing alcohol as needed
• Always follow proper sanitation practices
• Responsible for completing all opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years of experience with similar concept
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and cocktail-making
• High volume experience preferred
• Maintain required health, sanitation, and alcohol service certificates
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Interpersonal skills
• Positive, friendly attitude

REQUIREMENTS

• Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 
• Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals 
• Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces 
• Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environments
