Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic, friendly, and dedicated servers to join the team at Antoya Korean BBQ. As a server, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our guests have a fantastic dining experience. Your responsibilities will include guiding guests through the menu, assisting with the grilling process, and delivering food and drinks with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome. Provide detailed information about menu items, including recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Table Service: Take orders accurately, deliver food and beverages promptly, and ensure that guests have everything they need throughout their meal.
- Grilling Assistance: Assist guests with the Korean BBQ grilling process, ensuring proper cooking techniques and safety.
- Menu Knowledge: Stay knowledgeable about the menu, including daily specials, beverages, and dietary restrictions. Be prepared to answer questions and provide recommendations.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables, refilling drinks, and ensuring all condiments and supplies are well-stocked.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, kitchen staff, bussers, and other servers to provide a seamless dining experience. Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed.
- Upselling: Suggest additional menu items or upgrades to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably in a Korean BBQ or similar setting.
- Korean language skills preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of Korean cuisine and culture is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain one is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable with handling raw food and working around grills.
