Exciting times ahead here at Aqua Restaurant Group, as we are opening a dual new restaurant in NYC this year - the biggest restaurant opening of 2024 in The Big Apple

With the Italian fleur, we will be opening a restaurant with the freshest produce from Italy, vibrant & buzzy atmosphere with live DJs in the evening & weekend brunches as well as a Japanese restaurant with lots of cocktail choices

Are you ready to make a culinary impact in the heart of NYC? We are looking for a passionate and innovative Senior Sous Chef. Join us in launching a brand-new restaurant and bring your expertise and creativity to the forefront of NYC’s food scene!

Primary Objective:

As the Senior Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our Executive/Head Chef, ensuring our sushi operations run smoothly and deliver the highest quality. Your leadership and expertise will help us craft dishes that not only satisfy but also mesmerize our guests, all while maintaining cost efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Excellence: Assist the Head Sushi Chef in all kitchen operations, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Ensure proper staffing and adequate supplies for all stations, and supervise the setup and readiness of menu items.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the seasoning, portioning, and appearance of all food served, maintaining consistency and excellence.
  • Waste Management: Store unused food properly to minimize waste and maximize quality.
  • Financial Savvy: Assist in controlling budgetary and payroll expenses as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with chefs to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food, while maintaining top-notch quality.
  • Inventory Management: Assist the Head Chef in checking and ordering fresh products and dry storage items required by kitchen sections.

  • Deeply Rooted Traditions: Embrace the rich traditions of Italian cuisine, incorporating regional specificities and respecting the authenticity of each dish.
