Exciting times ahead here at Aqua Restaurant Group, as we are opening a dual new restaurant in NYC this year - the biggest restaurant opening of 2024 in The Big Apple

With the Italian fleur, we will be opening a restaurant with the freshest produce from Italy, vibrant & buzzy atmosphere with live DJs in the evening & weekend brunches as well as a Japanese restaurant with lots of cocktail choices

Are you ready to make a culinary impact in the heart of NYC? We are looking for a passionate and innovative Sous Chef. Join us in launching a brand-new restaurant and bring your expertise and creativity to the forefront of NYC’s food scene!

Primary Objective:

As a Sous Chef, you will be a key player in our kitchen brigade, working closely with the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef to ensure that every dish we serve meets our high standards of quality and taste. Your role is crucial in maintaining the balance between exceptional food quality, cost control, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Excellence: Assist the Senior Sous and Head Chef in all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring proper staffing and adequate supplies for all stations. Ensure all menu items are set up correctly and ready for service.
  • Quality Control: Oversee seasonings, portions, and the appearance of food service, maintaining consistency and excellence.
  • Waste Management: Store unused food properly to minimize waste and maximize quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with chefs to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food, maintaining top-notch quality. Suggest menu changes to reflect local, seasonal, and national trends and recommend improved preparation procedures.
  • Safety and Hygiene: Ensure all safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices are followed. Assist the Head Chef in checking and ordering fresh products and dry storage items.
  • Meetings and Training: Attend all required meetings and training sessions, actively participating in your own development to benefit the business and improve your skills.
