Sushi Nakazawa is seeking a qualified and professional Captain to join the team and help lead lunch service with flexibility to work as a food runner for dinner service. Working hours for lunch are expected to be 11am to 4:30pm, and for dinner, 5:30pm to 11:30pm. We are currently looking for staff members with availability Monday through Friday. Both full time work and part time work, with a commitment to at least 3 days, will be reviewed.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate professional, willing to lead an unparalleled dining experience for our guests. Thorough knowledge of food and beverages is an absolute requirement. Knowledge of fish and sake are ideal, but not an absolute requirement. Qualified candidate(s) must have experience in a Michelin starred restaurant.

Sushi Nakazawa, awarded 3 stars by the NY Times, and 1 Michelin Star, is the collaboration between Alessandro Borgognone and Chef Daisuke Nakazawa. Located in the West Village at Commerce Street, the restaurant serves Chef Nakazawa's Omakase, featuring twenty to twenty-one pieces of the freshest seafood that Japan and surrounding local waters offer.
The hourly rate is calculated by the tipped hourly rate ($10.65), plus tips expected per shift. The ideal candidate will be giving us approximately 32 hours per week.
