Miss Ada is looking for a passionate and talented hospitality professional to join our team. This role has the potential to range from a floor manager role to an assistant general manager position, based on the interest and experience of the candidate.
Our management team provides inspirational leadership to our team of hospitality professionals. Ideal candidates will be required to have a minimum of 2+ years of management or lead server experience in New York City, particularly in Brooklyn; exceptional service skills, proven leadership traits and a desire to be part of a quality driven team in a fast-paced restaurant. In addition, the role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team. We are looking for someone to lead by example, participating in all aspects of service at Miss Ada.
This role would report to the General Manager, Director of Operations and Chef Owner to ensure all restaurant goals and standards are being met. There is room for growth both within this role and within the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Help maintain a safe, secure, healthy work environment for staff
Ensuring sanitation standards and procedures are being met
Enhancing organization on the floor
Ensuring staff is setting up and breaking down restuarant properly including confirming sidework duties have been completed by assigned employee
Ensuring guests are satisfied with their dining experience, connecting with regulars, and creating memorable experiences
Managing reservations and supporting the host team
Wine stocking/cellar organization

Qualifications:
2+ years experience managing or working as a full time server in a restaurant similar to ours
NY Food Handler’s Certification
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 7 hours]
- Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily
- Be comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs, and moving.
