Upscale French Restaurant Group is looking for an experienced Restaurant Host. In this position, you will be greeting and seating customers as they arrive.  Our ideal applicant has hospitality and food service experience and is able to work great in a team environment.  
 

Location: 20 E 60th, New York, New York 

Primary responsibilities: 

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant 

• Guide guests to their table and accommodate specific seating requests to the best of your ability 

• Accommodate any other special needs or requests of guests 

• Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have 

• Maintain a clean and organized work area 

• Make reservations when guests call or make requests in-person 

• Manage restaurant waiting list during peak times to accurately set guest expectations 

• Open door for guests arriving and departing 

Skills and qualifications: 

• Must have an upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitude 

• Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills 

• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment 

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work effectively within a team 

• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time 

Languages: French and Italian (highly preferred)
