Five Acres Restaurant @ Rockefeller Center is seeking a full-time bartender! Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available.
This position needs to be filled immediately. The right candidate can start training right away!
As a Bartender at Five Acres, you narrate the dining experience for our guests at the bar. All of our bartenders are expected to rotate from service bar to guest-facing point station on any given shift. You will also work in a team environment with the rest of the FOH and management to ensure each table has an authentic and memorable experience. You will be expected to know our menu in and out, be aware of allergens and procedures to ensure the safety of our guests with food restrictions, and give true hospitality to all who you interact with, co-worker, guest, or passer-by. It will be crucial to know the cocktail menu back to front, but also be able to produce those drinks in a timely manner with house standards.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of spirits and classic cocktails
- Properly prepare all beverages to the highest standards
- Maintain cleanliness and always restock equipment as needed.
- Ability to multitask in high-volume service
- Proficient use of POS functions
- Cash handling and communication skills with management done with utmost professionalism.
- DOH Food Protection Certificate a plus
- eTips certification a plus
- Excellent customer service skills and eager and positive
- Able to work days, nights and weekends which will be required with this role.
- Committed to incredible teamwork, able to balance team and individual responsibilities.
- 3+ years high-volume bar experience
Additional requirements:
- Must be able to lift/move up to 10lbs, frequently lift/move up to 25lbs, and occasionally lift/move up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
Compensation Details:
- Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
