Who we are:

9 Orchard Hotel is a luxury hotel in the Lower East Side of New York City, housed in the historic Jarmulowsky Bank Building. We are currently looking for highly motivated individuals to join our Events Team. Event Cooks will work closely with the Chef and Sous Chef to prepare and execute special events such as plated dinners, cocktail events, and corporate/social events. 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is someone with a flexible schedule who has good availability but does not need a set schedule. Must have experience working in Events. Fine Dining experience is desired but not necessary. Candidates must be self-sufficient and take charge when needed. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing and executing events and occasionally lead events. Other desired qualifications include:

-Previous experience working with High-end caterers such as Olivier Cheng, RHC, Pinch LLC, etc.

-Excellent communication skills

-Ability to follow directions well

-Ability to execute recipes

-Display strong work ethic and work habits

-Knowledgeable in all food preparation techniques

- Hold themselves to a high standard.

-Is inquisitive and collaborative

The ability to speak Spanish is a plus
