The Cafe Manager will…

• Manage the daily operations of the Artshack Cafe/Bar, leading our team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high-quality standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage café staff, ensuring effective scheduling and payroll management. Submit weekly staff hours for payroll by Tuesday mornings.
• Order food, beverages and other inventory while monitoring budgets to maintain and control food costs.
• Address customer suggestions and complaints and provide exceptional service, creating a welcoming atmosphere with a strong community feel. 
• Ensure the cafe’s cleanliness and compliance with health department regulations. Oversee the repair and maintenance of all café appliances. Maintain high food and beverage quality standards, creating seasonal menu offerings while ensuring the quality of popular items.
• Oversee marketing efforts and menu design. Keep the cafe’s instagram and website up to date.
• Work closely with our events manager to host evening events and drive customer engagement.
• Work at least two shifts a week as a barista.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the food industry, specifically in food and beverage preparation. Barista and managerial experience strongly preferred.
• Must have experience providing excellent customer service and communication skills, with an interest in community building through relationship building. 
• Must be reliable, communicative, and organized with the ability to multitask.
• Must have a food handler’s license and knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
• We strongly prefer applicants with culinary experience, or at least an appreciation of food and an understanding of food quality standards.
• Must have experience with the Adobe Suite or an equivalent design program to create and edit menus.

• Must possess the ability to work under pressure, resolve conflicts, and problem solve.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
