Job Details
We are a growing family-owned restaurant management and events hospitality business based in Washington D.C. We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry and a passion for creating a positive work environment for our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle of the recruitment process, from posting job openings to onboarding new hires
- Conduct new employee orientation and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and filed appropriately
- Manage employee benefits program and communicate with employees regarding enrollment, changes, and questions
- Work with department managers to develop and implement training programs to ensure employee development and retention
- Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies and procedures
- Address employee relations issues and conduct investigations as needed
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on the hospitality industry preferred
- PHR or SHRM certification preferred
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including recruiting, talent management, training, compensation practices, performance management, culture development, employee and union relations, federal and state respective employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
