THE ROLE
Hotel Heron is home to KILN restaurant. KILN focuses on the regions best ingredients, highlighting farmers and fishermen through both our nightly tasting menu and a la carte menu. Our restaurant is built around an open kitchen, anchored by an open hearth and chefs counter. Candidates should be able to follow recipes, maintain health department requirements and maintain restaurant standards. Candidates should also be comfortable interacting with guests both in the open kitchen as well as the dining room. Applicants should have at least 2 years of kitchen experience, preferably in a Michelin or Fine Dining environment. We look forward to meeting you!
Positions require:
- Full availability - daytime hours, evening hours and weekends
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods to cook required menu items
- Ability to withstand warm to hot environments for prolonged periods while utilizing ovens, stoves, or fryers
- Compliance with all health department requirements of food safety and staff hygiene - including, but not limited to labeling, time and temperature
- Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties
