Hotel AKA Alexandria, a luxury hotel in Old Town Alexandria, is seeking a Server to join our a.Lounge team. The Server will create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, provide guests with exceptional, quality service and creating memorable experience.
Team Member Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide friendly and efficient service.
- Offer product recommendations and answer customer inquiries about beverages and menu items.
- Clean and sanitizing work areas, utensils, equipment as well as service and seating areas
- Order, receive and distributing stock supplies ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Accurately process customer payments, handling cash transactions, and operating POS systems to finalize orders and provide receipts.
- Collaborate with other lounge staff to ensure smooth operations, teamwork, and efficient customer service.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in coffee-making equipment and preparation, including knowledge of different coffee types, espresso extraction techniques, latte art, and beverage customization.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, including taking orders, preparing beverages, serving food, and attending to customer needs promptly
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and guests
- Willingness to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have the ability to communicate in English.
